Who discovered radium?
The Polish-French physicist Marie Curie (1867-1934), born Marya Sklodowska, is the only woman to have won two Nobel prizes - one in 1903 for her part in the discovery of radioactivity, and one in 1911 for her discovery of the elements polonium and radium.
