Which Greek poet was killed by a tortoise?
The poet Aeschylus is supposed to have been killed by a tortoise in 455 BC. An eagle, that had caught a tortoise, thought the poet's bald head was a stone. It dropped its prey to crack it, but instead broke the poet's skull. Or so they say!
