Like sneezing, coughing is an automatic reaction which helps to clear mucus or dust out of the breathing passages in your lungs. But coughs and sneezes spread diseases. If you have a cold, the air you cough or sneeze out contains millions of cold germs. If other people breathe these germs in, they may catch cold too.
