If your kidneys do not get enough liquid passing through them, the urine they make may be too concentrated. The solids in it may join together to form kidney "stones". If the stones are bigger than peas, they can block the ureters and cause terrible pain. Kidney stones have even been found inside the bodies of Ancient Egyptian mummies.
