Spreading out
Germs can be spread by air, water, food and by animal carriers such as mosquitoes. The latter spread the tiny protozoa which cause malaria in tropical countries. The mosquitoes suck the blood of an infected person, then transfer the germs into the next person they attack. Up to 400 million people a year suffer from malaria. The disease kills about 2,750 children a day.
