Animals that feed at night have special ways of finding their way in the dark. Some, such as moles and bats, have tiny eyes but very good hearing and smell. Others, such as bush babies and tarsiers, have huge-fronted eyes. The Eastern tarsier's eyes are 17 mm (0.6 in) across. If a human's eyes were the same size in proportion to its body, they would be as big as grapefruit.
