Apes asleep
Chimpanzees and orang-utans sleep in flimsy, temporary nests up in the trees. It takes a chimp about five minutes to build a nest. It bends branches across to form a firm base and then weaves smaller twigs into it. If the night is cold, apes wrap themselves up in leaf or grass 'blankets'.
