One of the best mountain climbers was a beagle from Switzerland called Tschingel. From 1868-1876 she climbed 53 of the most difficult mountains in the Alps, 11 of which had never been climbed before, and many easier ones. In 1875 she climbed Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps and was made a member of the exclusive Alpine Club.
