Sun worship (Worlds Apart (Animals) Facts)
Sifakas, or white lemurs, start off each day by lying in the sun for an hour or so. They climb to a tree top and face the sun with their arms outstretched. They do this to warm themselves up after a cool night but local people believed that the lemurs were worshipping the sun.
